Chapter 32. The Full Moon
Leah’s POV
Rafael did not seem moved by what I said. In fact, from the look on his face, I could tell that he had done worst.
And just like I was expecting, he replied, “I’ve done worse. I’ve stabbed my father before and I’ve told my mother once on her birthday that I would poison her.” He shrugged. “What you did or said was reasonable.” He flashed me a smile.
And he was right, I couldn’t compete with him. He was a menace, the son of a mafia boss. So…nothing like my story was going to make him feel weird or anything.
It must have even been comical to him. But as for me, it was one of the worst moments that I have ever had.
It was fully night now and the wind was getting cold. But I was more into hearing what the guy had to say.
