Leah’s POV
I followed Sasha and she led me through the crowd. The Lees followed us too, they were not far behind. My heart was racing and I could already feel the regret setting in even though I had not even held the red cup to drink from it yet.
I felt like I was not making the best decision and that I needed to stop. But at the same time, I just wanted the heaviness on my chest to be lifted for a few minutes, if not hours. I just wanted to feel normal again.
I was tired of the nervousness, the fear, the worry, the doubts, and all the negative emotions. I just wanted to feel some sense of peace, and if alcohol was going to offer that to me, then I guess that I was going to accept the offer.
