Leah’s POV

The FBI agents. 

But I thought they had left. I could swear that they had. When the school was on lock down and I was up there, I literally had watched them leave. So was my mind playing tricks on me? 

“What are you looking at?” Rafael asked, glancing at me. He was curious because he saw that I kept looking behind as he drove. 

“Nothing,” I replied as I looked away and turned my attention to the road. I hooked a few strands of my hair behind my ears and tried to calm myself down. But if I was right, I think the car was following us, but at a safe distance. 

And if it really was the FBI agents, then that meant that this could be my chance to finally be free from this mafia family. This could be my chance to go back home and see my mom again. Hope filled me, but at the same time, I did not want to jinx it.
