At one point, the dirt path just kept going and going. It just did not stop. But I did not stop, I followed Rafael and we walked in silence. I don’t know if I should say that it was a comfortable silence because I did not know what was going on in his head.
But for me, it was not a comfortable silence at all. I was anxious and really nervous. I was nervous about why this guy had brought me all the way here. I was worried that he was about to do something to me and there might be no going back from it.
I was anxious also about the fact that there could be FBI agents watching and following us from a safe distance. I mean, I should be happy about that because that meant that I could be saved and returned to my life, but I had concerns.
