Chapter 109. The Rumors Start

Dominic’s POV

“Have you heard what they’re saying about Leila and Luca?”

I lay very still in bed, pretending to sleep, but my heart shot out the window. The servants were talking hushed in the hallway outside of my bedroom, but they didn’t know I was awake.

My teeth were clenched, and the tension of screaming for them to shut up was overwhelming, but still, another part of me wanted to hear what they said.

“I swear, I saw them,” another joined in. “Out in the garden, just the two of them. The kiss was intense. Like they couldn’t get their hands off each other.”
