Luca’s POV

I had never looked in the back once, and with one spring of anxiety the moment my foot stepped inside, all my senses went into overdrive, that which lay inside brought me to full stop.

As soon as I stepped into Dominic’s room, this gut-wrenching feeling formed at the bottom of my stomach that told me something was off. Of course, the farther my eyes swept across the scene before me, the worse it all seemed: Dominic was sprawled on his couch shirtless, in a highly relaxed posture; the same one he always wore, where he was too relaxed; Leila slept on his bed, her clothes scattered across the floor, thrown off in some urgency.

I felt every muscle in my body tighten, “Dominic,” I snarled, advancing another step, my fists clenched.

He turned his head slowly, laying one finger over his lips as his eyes shone like bright jewels with some kind of sick delight. “Shh… you’ll wake her.”
