“How did it go? Did you see her?” Lucian asked the moment I walked in.
I didn’t even stop to answer properly. “He was there,” I muttered as I made my way toward the bartender.
“Pour me something strong,” I said sharply.
I needed to see the tension I was feeling in my shoulders.
“I really need to clear my head before tonight’s dinner. I need to hold my head, Lucian.”
“What happened?” he asked, more cautious now. “Ezra?”
“Yes,” I bit out. “He was right there. With her. With my Luna.”
I ran a hand through my hair. “Everything about him itches under my skin. I can’t wait for him to leave. I’m tired of seeing him around. And the way he looks at her again—” I shook my head, breathing hard. “It drives me mad.”
“You want him to leave,” Lucian said, leaning on the counter beside me, “but you haven’t told Iris to stop whatever she’s doing.”
