Chapter 140. Family Bonding
Rufus’s POV
Quietly sneaking out of the bedroom, Freya had fallen asleep and I wanted to leave her to get some well-earned rest.
I lightly treaded down the stairs and into the kitchen, only to be met by Sienna and Milo.
“Hey kids,” I said with a sheepish smile, my eyes turned to Milo. “I’m really sorry about my behavior earlier, I’m not proud of myself.”
Milo pouted at first, but then a smile eventually cracked on his face. “That’s okay Dad, things are tense right now, I get it,” he paused. “Are you okay? Is Freya okay?”
“She’s fine now,” I said, a serious tone to my voice. “Now she’s safe and under my watchful eyes at home, I can relax a bit.”
