Freya’s POV

After waking from my sleep, I sat up in bed and stretched. I felt revitalized as though I had been asleep for decades. But it was the rest I knew I needed. Both myself and Elara needed the rest and recharge from the past day’s events.

I felt disappointment at not having Rufus at my side as I woke, but I could hear voices coming from downstairs, which made me feel comfortable that my family were at home and safe waiting for me.
