Chapter 38. The Silence

Sienna’s POV

‘Sienna, wake up!’

Rose’s voice echoed in my mind, but my vision was dark. No matter how far I turned my head, I was surrounded with blackness.

‘You need to wake up!’ Rose cried once more inside my mind.

‘Rose?’ I asked my wolf in the darkness ‘Where are we? Why can’t I see?’

‘I don’t know,’ She responded with panic in her voice ‘I just remember the two strangers, and then everything went dark,’ Rose paused ‘Can you move your limbs?’ Her voice sounded distant and crackled, as though I was talking to her on a broken phone line.

I tried to pull my arms, but they were secured down it seemed. The tight sensation of bonds around me dug into my skin as I moved.

‘I can’t move,’ I said, panic in my voice. ‘Rose, I can’t move my legs either! What’s going on?’

‘Try…harder…’ Rose’s voice struggled as she made attempts to communicate with me ‘Keep… fighting… Sienna…’ Her voice dropped off and my mind was blank from her.
