Chapter 57. A Rumour

After making love with Lucas, I pretended to drift off in sleep but instead, I lay beside Lucas, my thoughts all over the place. I had made my choice; I had gotten what I wanted yet I felt unsatisfied. To think that I could have been free but had given it up for love had sounded stupid to both Ramona and Addy.
