Chapter 58. Missing Person

Miatta's POV

“Me and the Prince, mates? Pfft!” I scoffed shortly, feeling uncomfortable in my stomach and sick in my mouth. “Like that can ever happen. The Lycan Prince is way above my station and between us, I don’t even like him that much.”

“I know you don’t and that was my point all along but your actions that day were very suspicious. I said I would tell you the first chance I got so that you can be careful.”

She was earnest in her quest to win back my trust and she wasn't doing a bad job. In a pack such as Red Bone Pack, one needed to have someone watching their back. I had not thought of how it would look like when I had been chanting that mantra with all my heart. I had worn my heart on my sleeve, a careless move that luckily, Ryan had brought to my notice. When I did not speak, she continued, reducing her voice to a whisper. 

“Yvette was among the slaves that started the rumour too and she was not pleased when the Prince chose to
