Yvette stood before Addy, accusing her directly. Desdemona tapped Yvette’s shoulder and she moved aside, apologizing for speaking out of turn.

“Adrianne, if you know where Ramona is, it is better you speak up now or risk the consequences that will follow,” Desdemona threatened, shoving her face too close to Addy.

The latter did not move an inch, staring back at her accusers. I was not being questioned yet my palms were sweaty and I feared for the worst. I hung my head, watching Addy peripherally and praying to the Goddess that everything would blow over.
