Chapter 10. She’s Back

Sarah yawned, stretched her arms, then flew up with a huge smile on her face. The sun was shining mightily in the sky, the birds were chirping their sweet songs and as for Sarah, you could say she was in a VERY good mood. Ever since that talk with Damon, she had been going around with a happy skip to her movements without even noticing. She had even dared to wave at him before bed and smiled when he gave her a simple nod.

Damon was frightening indeed, but the fact that he had not pulled her tongue for what she said that time, made her doubt his cruelty when it came to her. He even asked her to behave as if he was not the king.

He had no reason to ask that of her out of jest. Could someone like him truly desire them to be closer? Did he really want her to soften up to him?
