Chapter 34. Friends
Sarah walked up the stairs with a large tray held in both hands. A few hours ago, she happened to overhear Trixie and Haguy saying they were craving fried chicken, but since Damon had left home early, they were still contemplating whether to wait or get it themselves.
Though she had no skill for it, Sarah took it upon herself to make it. Surprisingly, it didn’t turn out as bad as she thought it would, save for the slight difference in color and texture from the bought ones. This was the least she could do to pay them back for all that cooking they did for her. Plus, the work had made her busy for a bit.
And now, with nothing left to do, her mind was back to being overrun with Damon Kalesto again.
The past week felt like something straight out of her wildest imagination. At times, she had to pinch herself to make sure it was real. His temper was as difficult to deal with as always but aside from waking up to him staring into her soul every morning, there were moment
