Chapter 8. Dirty Thoughts About My Stepbrother

By the time we finished unpacking our stuff, it was time for dinner. Not that I noticed the time going by. I was too busy avoiding Sean and trying to come to terms with my new situation.

Never in a thousand years would I have thought that my mate would turn out to be my new step brother. Seriously, what were the chances? Only I would be so unlucky. Finding him had seemed like a miracle at first, but now, it seemed more like a disaster.

We ordered takeout for dinner and sat together for dinner, as a family. My mother and I sat on one side, while Sean and his father sat on the other. Much to my discomfort, Sean was sitting directly opposite me. The food we'd ordered was delicious, but my appetite had disappeared. Too bad I couldn't excuse myself out of this meal, being our first meal together as a family. I wasn't going to ruin things for my mother from the get-go.
