"Mommy!" I excitedly exclaimed, running towards her with open arms for a hug. She laughed and hugged me back. Mom had invited us over, but Cassian couldn't come right now because of some meetings. He promised to join us later in the evening. After our hug, she asked, "Where's your husband?"

"He had some meetings, so he couldn't come with me. But don't worry, he'll be here in the evening," I explained. Mom smiled and said, "You know, I would've been upset with him for not coming with you, but I'm actually happy. We have more time to gossip about him! Where's your dad?" I asked.

"He went to visit an old friend and plans to return after having lunch with him," she replied. "That means we have plenty of time to catch up on Sinclair family gossip, including Noah, who is not with Sia because they went somewhere."
