I looked at the clock and saw that there were still two minutes left. I focused on Seraphina, feeling peaceful while she slept in my arms. The clock was going to strike twelve, marking the start of her birthday. I had planned a surprise for her tomorrow, so I decided not to wake her up with birthday wishes tonight. Seraphina had never celebrated her birthday before, and I was determined to make it a day she would always remember. When the clock finally struck twelve, I whispered softly, "Happy birthday, my angel," making sure not to wake her up. I gently kissed her forehead and admired her calm expression. I settled back down, holding her closer to my chest, excited to be the first to wish her well, even if she didn't know about it yet. After giving her another gentle kiss on her head, my mind drifted to the exciting day ahead, one that I wanted to make unforgettable for Seraphina.
