I woke up slowly and saw that the room was still dark because the curtains were closed. I looked around and saw that Cassian wasn't beside me. I sat up and saw him getting ready in front of the mirror. I saw the time and thought I had overslept, but it was actually very early.

"Good morning," he said with a smile, looking at me through the mirror.

"Good morning," I replied softly. "Are you going to work this early?" I asked.

"Yes," he answered. "I got a call about an important meeting today, the same clients we talked about before," he said, understanding that it was a sensitive subject.
