Chapter 42. Paparazzi

The car stopped in front of a fancy building, and the cameras were flashing a lot, making my heart race. I had never seen such a big crowd before. Cassian told me to follow him and ignore the paparazzi. I nodded, but I wondered if he would leave me. But he surprised me by opening the car door for me. When I got out, the camera flashes were really bright. Cassian's hand touched my back and it gave me shivers. I couldn't help but glance at him and he seemed calm, looking straight ahead.

We walked towards the entrance and the paparazzi asked us questions like, "Who is she?"

"Is she your girlfriend?"

"Did you and Ayesha break up?" The last question surprised me - did everyone know about Cassian and Ayesha? Cassian didn't pay attention to the questions and I kept looking down.
