I saw Seraphina as I walked up to her. Her face had tears on it, and it broke my heart. "Seraphina," I said softly. She cried even more, really sad. I used my finger to lift her head up and wiped away her tears. "Shh... it's over. The person who hurt you will be punished," I told her. She held onto me tightly while still crying. I hugged her and whispered comforting words in her ear, and ran my fingers through her hair to make her feel better. Eventually, she let go of the hug, and that's when I noticed something was not right.
I took off my coat and put it on her. She held onto it tightly. When I made her look at me again, I saw red marks on her cheeks, like someone had slapped her. When I touched the mark, she flinched, which is what happens when you've been through something bad. I gently rubbed the red mark, feeling angry inside. "Who did this?" I asked, even though I knew the answer, but I wanted her to say it. &q
