I couldn't stop crying as everything happened so fast. Cassian came over to comfort me, his face looking softer when he saw me. "Seraphina," he said gently, which made me cry even more. Tears kept rolling down my cheeks. He lifted my chin with his hand and wiped away my tears. "Shh... it's all done now. He's going to get in trouble for this," Cassian reassured me, trying to calm me down.

I hugged Cassian really tight, crying loudly in the hallway. He hugged me back and whispered nice things to me while stroking my hair. Eventually, I let go of the hug, feeling embarrassed by my crying. He took off his coat and put it on me, making me feel better. I held onto the coat like it was a lifeline.
