Chapter 43. Paparazzi II

We arrived at the grand hall where the lively party was in full swing. Surrounding the building, a swarm of paparazzi had gathered, their camera flashes illuminating the scene. It was evident that this might be Seraphina's first encounter with paparazzi, as her apprehension was palpable upon seeing the crowd.
"Follow my lead and pay no mind to the paparazzi," I advised her, and she nodded in agreement. Stepping out of the car, I took it upon myself to open the door for her. As soon as she emerged, the flurry of cameras erupted in a frenzy of flashes. To feign familiarity, I gently placed my hand on her back. I could perceive her slight shiver in response; her skin was remarkably smooth and velvety, akin to that of a newborn babe.
