Chapter 51. Lost His Mind II
After we finished our shopping, we got really hungry. We went to the food court and Sia offered to bring us our meals. I sat alone at a table, waiting for her, but she took a while.
While waiting, I saw someone familiar across the food court. It was Lucas, with some friends. They were talking and eating. I hadn't seen Lucas since the reception day. When he saw me, he smiled and waved.
Lucas came over and gave me a warm hug. "How are you, di?" he asked. I wished we had more moments like this before my marriage. "I'm good, Lucas. How about you? And how are Mom and Dad?" I asked, worried. I hadn't heard from them since the reception day. "I'm doing fine, and they're the same as always—pretty stuck-up," he said, making me playfully hit his arm. "You shouldn't say that. They're our parents."
