Chapter 28. Mate, Mine

Maureen's POV

I had a lot of fun with Amelia, Lucia's wolf, until she had to shift back. I gave her our gifts but she refused to open them until later. 

We didn't sleep all night. We talked about everything under the sky. We talked about meeting our mates and what life was possibly going to be like. 

'Is Amelia beautiful?' She asked with a look I couldn't identify.

'I showed you in the mirror. Didn't you see?' 

'I saw her but I want your honest opinion, is she beautiful?' She asked impatiently.

'Are you feeling insecure right now?' I asked looking at her suspiciously.

'No, I am not feeling insecure. I just want your opinion that is all.' 

'Hunnnn, I don't know,' I said teasing her.

Her shoulder slumped. 'So she is not that beautiful right?' 

'I was only teasing you. Amelia is gorgeous,' I laughed.
