Chapter 27. Meet Amelia

Maureen's POV

I knocked at Lucia's door gently while I glanced back at Dominus as I heard him start the car. Lucia opened the door with her easy smile.

'Is that not Dom, Why didn't he get down to say hi?' She asked looking disappointed.

'It seems he is in a hurry to get somewhere.' 

'Really?' Lucia asked stepping aside to allow me into the house. 'Are you sure about that?' 

'What do you mean?' 

'It seems as if he is avoiding me?' 

'Avoiding you?'

'Yes. Ever since the incident, he seems not to want to have anything to do with me.' 

'Don't over think things. Besides, Lance said that in two weeks they both would be appointed as the trainers of the newly recruited warriors. So his mind might be occupied,' I said trying to not make her feel bad.
