Chapter 40. My Mother, My Brother

Dominus' POV

'Mum, can I come in?' I asked as I stood before my mum's room door. The door was half opened but I didn't want to just barge in. 

'Just a minute please,' she answered from inside. Her voice sounded muffled.

After what seemed like three minutes she asked me to come in. One look at her and I knew why her voice sounded odd. She had been crying!

After Dawn had told us her secret. Grandma Gina had insisted that she would take her under her wings but dad had insisted that they should give her a room in one of the mini flats in the pack house. 

She was warned to stay in her flat and shouldn't step out until she was asked to. Even then a soldier would be directed to bring her. 

After she had left with the soldiers, mum had excused herself to use the bathroom but I knew better.
