Chapter 24. Contracts

Eryn’s POV

My phone is buzzing loudly, and my head thumps painfully in rhythm with it. Pressing my hand against my forehead, I try to remember what happened last night. The last thing I remember is taking a shot at the club. The rest is a bit hazy.

I sit up in the bed and reach for my phone. The screen of my phone illuminates, and it is Zach. I stretch and yawn before answering the call.

“What?” I answer the phone grumpily.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Zach screams through the phone.

His voice feels like needles piercing my brain. I hold the phone away from my ear while my brother continues to yell about my actions, but I am no longer listening. I am taking in my surroundings. This isn’t my room. I have no idea where I am.

The bed stirs beside me, and I slowly turn my head to the right. I gasp aloud. Alpha Atticus is sleeping soundly beside me.

“Eryn!” My brother’s voice screams through the phone.
