Eryn’s POV

‘Get up,’ a voice echoes through my mind.

‘I can’t,’ I call back to the voice silently.

‘You are not weak,’ the voice tells me. ‘Get up.’

While I am huddled on the ground, I stop feeling sorry for myself. Anger fills my veins, and I am out for revenge. Kyle will rue the day he dared to touch me. It is like Atticus told me. He wouldn’t always be around to protect me. So, I have to learn to protect myself.
