Chapter 73. New Alpha

Kyle’s POV

Standing outside the wreckage of the pack house, two warriors are restraining my mother. She doesn’t fight against them or look afraid. A smirk on her lips tells me she is very proud of herself. She betrayed her whole pack and doesn’t care.

My father is sitting on the ground in the ashes of the pack house. Tears are streaming down his face. He helped to build this pack house with his own two hands when he was younger, and now all that is left is burned wood and ash.

I drop the bolt cutters found in the debris of my parents room at my mother’s feet. She doesn’t bother to look down. Her eyes are boring into mine. Then I pull the remains of Eryn’s silver collar out of my pocket and toss them in front of her as well.

“Explain,” I growl.

“No,” she replies.

“You have betrayed your pack, and you have nothing to say for yourself,” I shout at her.

“I have done nothing of the sort,” she responds confidently. “I set an innocent prison
