Edward’s POV

“Alpha Edward, what brings you here so late at night?” The head patrol warriors asked. A few warriors now surrounded him, ready for anything.

“I’m here for my mate,” I said. Jamal cleared his throat and gestured for me to stay quiet, he knew I didn’t have time to converse or linger.

“Good evening gentlemen, as my brother said, we are here to see your new Alpha,” My brother said. The warriors exchanged wary glances and Jamal spoke again,

“As you may know, she is my brother’s mate and they had a misunderstanding as all lovers do, he just wants to speak to her, we come in peace,” He explained patiently. My brother had a thing for people no wonder we worked well together, while I was irrational, he was calm. His aura made people listen and trust him. The head of the patrol nodded in understanding. His eyes darkened, showing that he was mind-linking, someone, maybe Caliana.

“I’m sorry Alphas, but we can’t let you in,” He said apologetical
