“I forgot to buy you a bicycle, Allianna. But don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll be able to use it tomorrow. Right now, you’re going to go to Daylon first.”
I was stunned because Aunt’s words still did not enter my brain. Aunt looked at Daylon.
“You heard what I said, didn’t you?”
Daylon did nothing but nod. When Aunt entered the house, I looked at Daylon, who looked at me seriously while riding the bike.
“Are you going to get in, or are you just staring at me?”
I quickly got on Daylon’s bike.
He was in grade 11 while I was in grade 10 because I had stopped studying for a year. I was ashamed to go in because I should be in grade 11 now. It wasn’t my fault that I was stuck for a year.
