I parked at the lake and got out carefully.
The ripples on the lake were calm as usual. I leaned against my car and looked over it. Then I envisioned Becca happily swimming in the midst, often in human form and a few times her wolf Era. She really had a great time here. In the evenings, the painful memories often came back to her, and she would sit on the porch staring straight ahead. This place held so many memories.
