"Did you notice the car parked across the street in front of our apartments?" Jerney whispered to me. "That’s an unusual license plate. And those dark windows! I have a bad feeling about it."

His expression turned serious, clearly not taking this unexpected turn lightly. He led me up to the top floor where we peered down at the street below. Sure enough, a car was still parked there. My heart skipped a beat as I recognized it belonged to one of the Moon Shine pack members.
