Chapter 72
Cara's POV
I was led to Rollins's side.
Finally, he turned to me. The look in his eyes was foreign.
"Please, Rollins, I know that I did wrong," I say silently over the noise. "I know you won't forgive me, but don't do this to Teo, please."
"Why? Because you love him?. He accepted his mistake and is willing to take the punishment, so there is no need for you to worry—not at all."
"Why are you doing these?"
"You know why; now I want you to watch."
He stood, leaving me behind as he walked to Teo, who was on his knees, his hands chained with what I could now recognize as silver.
Teo had his eyes to the ground.
"Teo," I whispered and in the middle of the silence, he looked up to me. Our eyes met, and Rollins watched our exchange. "I'm sorry," I whispered.
