She quickly gathered more. Finally, she took out a small jar filled with a clear liquid and poured it into a bowl. She added a pinch of salt and then mixed everything together.

"Excuse me," said Rachael from behind her.

Maya glanced back over her shoulder. Rachael was standing next to the door, appearing calm. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

"Everything okay?" Maya asked.

"Yes," said Rachael. "I was just wondering where you were. I thought maybe something had happened."

"Not at all," said Maya. "I was just getting ready for our trip with the triplet."

Reaché nodded and then returned to stirring the mixture in front of her.

"That's great," Reaché said as she continued stirring. "You'll be able to help them get used to traveling. It can be difficult, especially when they are so young."
