Chapter 6

Max held Maya’s hands gently as he entered the room. He knew that she was very surprised to see him. He was surprised to see her, too, and he had no plans of hiding it.

“How are you doing, Maya?” Max asked as he moved closer to touch her neck.

“I am feeling a bit rusty, but I will be fine,” Maya responded.

Maya tried to smile as she watched Max putting a lot of effort into making sure that she was feeling better. It was funny for her to see Max in all his glory and perfection, trying so hard to make her feel better.

“I want us to go somewhere,” Max said as he squeezed Maya’s hands gently.

“Do you have a place in mind?” Maya asked because she was really curious.

“I have been wanting to go for a long time, and you are the first one I am willing to take there.”
