It all got used up in tears and comforting by Roy. I didn't have a hard time because Amari was the one approaching him.
The day passed, and I could clearly see the happiness on both their faces. Seeing that was more than enough for me.
Right after that day, Roy, who used to be determined, became even more committed to coming to our house. The landlady even came here because she noticed Roy's frequent visits.
"Mama, please," Amari, who was hugging Roy, pleaded, wanting her father to sleep beside her.
"Amari, it's not possible. The landlady came here last time," I explained.
Her face showed a pitiful expression, puffing out her cheeks. "I want to sleep beside Papa," she said.
I let out a sigh. I didn't know what to do anymore. I had already been scolded, and I had said that it wouldn't happen again.
