Chapter 25. Godfather

Everything turned out fine after that conversation we had before going home. Auntie Anne also returned with her children, so we're complete again at home. In the past few days, Roy didn't bother me like he said he would. He stuck to his word, although sometimes I still catch him looking at me. He doesn't approach me as much unless it's necessary, and most of the time, he's with Auntie Anne.

Whether at home or at work, he's back to work because that's what he wanted. Plus, his wife obliges him not to stay without gaining any experience in the jobs he'll pursue in the future.

I welcomed them all when they arrived. We laughed and had a joyful chat as we entered the house.

"Finally. Have you eaten?" Auntie Anne asked me as I reached for her bag to set it aside.

"Not yet, Auntie," I replied.

"Join Jugs for dinner. We already ate out earlier. I also bought food for you guys," she said with a smile. "Just help him bring the food inside,"
