"Ina, just let them be," Ms. Hazel said as she led me away from the kitchen when she saw me I was washing dishes.
"But—" I started to protest, but she shot me a stern look, so I fell silent and let go of what I was holding.
"I brought you here so you could at least leave the condo. I didn't bring you here to take care of anything or anyone. There are people assigned to handle every task, and you don't need to interfere."
"I just wanted to help, Ms. Hazel. Even if it's just here, I can make amends somehow," I said.
