Chapter 138

Valeria's POV

After we, or rather Alec, paid, we left the diner and got back in the car. We drove back towards the villa. However, the rest of the day was uneventful. Alec got an important call, excused himself, and disappeared into his office. I went towards the room and wanted to rest.

After an hour, I was thinking about how I could spend the rest of the day and an image of his gym popped into my head. So I gathered some sports clothes and went downstairs. I wanted to knock on his door and ask if I could, but I heard angry voices and didn't want to barge in.

Besides, if he didn't want me to go in there, he would have locked the door, right? So I entered the room and started on the treadmill. The day with Lynn showed me that my stamina was at an end. So I had to get myself back into shape first.
