I walked next to her and kept glancing at her now and then. "Do you think I would have allowed that?"

She gave me an angry look and crossed her arms over her chest. "Either you transform back and face me in human form or... GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"

I bared my teeth again and growled. "I'm not stupid. I have to protect myself from you somehow. You threatened me with a poisoned dagger."

"You deserved that too. You don't attack little, innocent girls in the forest." She put her hands in her pockets and quickened her pace again.

"Is it still a long way to your home?"

I could see that she was cold and would have liked to warm her, but then she would probably have stabbed me.

"No. It's right there. That's why I would be yours. We will be very connected if our paths now part and we never see each other again." She gave me a sideways glance and headed straight for the forest house.
