Chapter 256

Xavier's POV

I'm slowly losing patience. I didn't want to hurt her, nor did I want to yell at her, but I just had to hold myself together not to act out of control. I continued to hold her in my arms as she clung to me.

“We now have two options. Either you voluntarily lie back in the bed or I will chain you to it. Either way, you will be treated by us." I said the last part through gritted teeth.

"But I don't want to be treated by you!" She uttered with a pout.

"And I don't want you to die!" I spoke in my alpha voice, which made Atlas immediately bare his neck.

This didn't seem to have gone unnoticed by Olivia either, because she let go of me and looked at me with wide eyes.

"You would... So please go back to bed so we can get this over with," I asked more calmly now.

She looked at me for a while before sneaking past me and sitting back on the bed with her arms crossed.

"Thank you," I said with relief and closed my eye
