Xavier's POV

After I transformed again at our pack border after a long run, I ran straight to her house. She didn't write until nine, but getting there a little early never hurts. I always want to be a gentleman. I was told that women like punctuality. Since I still don't know where I stand with her, I want to put my best foot forward.

After all, she should choose me, and I will do everything to convince her that I am a good match. I mean, that's me too. I am the alpha of a pack, have responsibility, and have enough money to give her a carefree life. I am attractive, funny, and would do anything for her. So what is missing? Why hasn't she fallen for me and the bond yet?

Have I done something wrong in the past? I have always given her her freedom, allowed her space, and not pressured her, at least in the last few weeks. So what else can I do? I want to have her with me, to protect her. I want to spend my life with her.
