Chapter 12
We three made our way to the clearing where I'd gotten Luise's form a year before, where the shift was meant to occur. Since the change was so excruciatingly painful, Myrtle was understandably anxious about making it. I didn't want her to feel that, but I had no choice.
When we finally made it to the clearing, everyone was already there. I thought we were just fashionably late, but my mom thought we were just fucking lazy.
The rest of the pack came to pay their respects and witness the Luna's wolf. Myrtle was anxious, and Hade reassured her repeatedly to stave off the anxiety attack she'd been warned of. We were fortunate in that it never materialized while we were around.
