Chapter 5
As she finished brushing her teeth, Lucy looked at her hair. She had dared to put two pink and purple hair clips on the same strand that Ryeon had touched earlier, and smiled when she noticed how beautiful they looked there.
She spat out the last bit of saliva and toothpaste, wiped her mouth clean, and splashed water on her face as well.
She sat on her bed and checked the time on her phone. It was still six forty, Ryeon would come at seven, and she could already hear her mother with her "friends" in the living room, talking about important things like the neighbor's new car.
The woman had recently moved in and worked in a "male-dominated" office.
How absurd it was for Sun-ha to see a woman working among men. According to her, a woman's place was at home, taking care of a husband, and maybe children, but not living freely and having adventures, absolutely not.
Lucy was disgusted by these archaic thoughts.
