“The contract is straightforward,” Lucy heard the lawyer Taean say, placing the stack of papers on his office desk. "And they're offering you a good sum of money."

"But how will it work?" she asked, curious.

"Well, here they're explaining that the contract is exclusive, but only for your designs and not for you."

"What does that mean?" Yugjae asked.

"It means that Lucy will deliver a monthly batch of sketches to the Valentino brand. Some will likely be accepted, others not, but those that pass the approval will be produced, and you can and probably should be actively involved in the production. The payment, depending on how much each piece will cost, is forty percent for you. You can still have your own brand and sign with your brand; they won't prohibit that and will give you credits on all the pieces they create."
