Chapter 58. Left Voiceless
Hadley smiled in relief. She got used to Benedict dropping her at the office for a week because the police confiscated her driver’s license again. She couldn’t drive herself, and it seemed that Benedict deliberately didn’t help her to get it back. Since her schedule was tight, Hadley had no time to claim it, so she was looking for her former acquaintance in the Department of Motor Vehicles, who had resigned.
For a moment, Hadley realized the good side of her brokenness. It paved the way for her and Benedict to be closer. They learned to co-exist comfortably and slowly while treating one another as friends.
