Chapter 69. Punches and the Truth (1)
“You’re up early; good morning.” Benedict breathed through Hadley’s ear, who was currently cleaning the dishes. His breath gave her goosebumps.
Opening the hanging cabinet made him so much closer to her that she could already feel the warmth of his body. “Bo-body clock. I also prepared some food for breakfast,” she said as she stumbled to the kitchen sink and tried her best to keep a distance from him.
All the things that she wanted to do that day were already listed through her mind, and thinking about her problems and unanswered questions were none of those. The top priority was cleaning the house.
“Have you had coffee yet?” Benedict asked as he stood near the coffee maker.
“Yeah, you can eat the breakfast I made. Not sure if you’d like it though.” She answered. Benedict then looked at the dinning table to see some honeyed toasted bread and sausages prepared. It made him smile and Hadley caught it.
“I just finished jogging, so stop looking at me.” He
