Chapter 5

Sean does not accompany her out of the home. Denis had only seen Tracy twice before.

The first occurred when Sean failed to bring the paperwork. Tracy carried the paper to the office since she was frightened of delaying his work. In Sean's icy eyes, Tracy is merely a headache... a scorn in his life, but Tracy does not protest. She seemed to be well-mannered and smart.

The second was Benedict Pattinson's birthday, which occurred in the second year of Sean's marriage to her. The Pattinson family refused to visit her and did not introduce her to anybody. Tracy was like a maid hired by the household that night. She performed all of the work, serving every visitor as the rest of the family scowled at her.

Tracy remained in the corner all night, braving public scorn. She did not respond, but just bowed her head and walked away.

Sean's wife, in Denis's recollection, was an angry young daughter-in-law who let others pinch her and was punished by everyone. But this formidable lady, who seems to be chopping someone to pieces, is not her tonight.

Sean also stared in Tracy's way but said nothing.

"I met Lance Anderson at the door when I came in just now," Denis added, diverting the conversation away from Tracy.

Sean said nonchalantly, "Who?"

"The Editor-in-Chief of Fashion Jewelry," Denis says.

"Yeah, I remember him," Sean responded flatly.

Andrew and Morris, who were both taken aback by the abrupt scenario, had worked together. "You've met him before." "Denis just told me he found 'Star,' and if they don't run into any problems, she'll become the contracted designer of their magazine." "Do you recall?" Denis spoke and signed.

"I don't remember," Sean said. Why should he remember these insignificant individuals?

"Do you remember three years ago when you sponsored the Seventh Emerging Designer Competition?" She finished first in the tournament. The Pattinson Corporation might have supported her to study in Paris, but she rejected for unknown reasons."

"I also recall her requesting that the foundation not teach her abroad and change the prize to cash, but you refused." I haven't heard anything from her since. Unfortunately, she is a highly energetic designer."

Sean carefully averted his sight, not sure what he was thinking or if he had heard what he had just spoken. "Oh." and "Not impressed."

—————

Lance could tell Tracy Michaelson was in a lot worse mood on the walk back than she was while she was eating. He wasn't adept at asking straight, so he raised an eyebrow at Glenda.

Glenda shook her head slightly, suggesting that it was difficult for her to say anything.

The automobile came to a halt in front of Glenda's home.

"I am looking forward to your work as well as our collaboration," Lance stated.

"Thank you so much, Editor Lance. Tracy said, "I will work hard." She smiled at him now that she was calmer.

Lance returned the grin. "Then I won't keep you waiting." I'll see you next week." Before starting the engine, he remarked.

When the two enter the home...

"Are you still upset, Tracy?" I advised you to get rid of that crazy bitch and rowdy boy in your brain..."

Tracy felt rather disoriented. She answered subconsciously with the word "Huh...", then paused for two seconds before responding, "No, I am thinking about work."

Lance assigned her the topic "first love," and Glenda said that this is also the first series pushed by their magazine after hiring a designer. They wanted to concentrate on the youthful market.

As a result, this work is vital to them. But Tracy's first love was a long time ago. It's already pretty hazy. Sean's three years of marriage have left nothing except the wonderful throbbing that can only be felt while getting along with the person you like.

"Speaking of first loves, I was wondering if you and Kyle Beltran had ever communicated?"

Tracy gave a little shake of her head. She achieved first place in the Emerging Designer Competition three years ago and might have been awarded a scholarship to study in Paris, but she declined.

Kyle had contacted her numerous times and inquired as to why she hadn't gone. There was uncertainty in his countenance, as well as loneliness and sadness. Tracy, on the other hand, never had the confidence to tell him the truth and erased all of his contact information.

What more can she say? Can she tell him that the night she won the big prize, a group of guys approached her and told her that her father owed them a significant sum of money?

Glenda groaned and reclined on the couch. "I'm still sorry about what happened to you and him. You two make an excellent pair... both skilled and wonderful. I assumed you'd be traveling together to Paris. I never imagined anything like that happening... Fate makes a mockery of him."

Tracy was quiet for a long time before finally saying, "It's all in the past."

"You're right!" Don't bring up that tragic subject!" Glenda shouted and abruptly changed the subject. "... I instantly recalled Amanda's chatter. She just started working in the magazine business. I'm wondering what she can achieve with her little intellect..."

Glenda made Tracy laugh multiple times before angrily insulting Sean and Amanda for one night.

However, when Tracy lay on the bed, her thoughts instinctively replicated Amanda's remarks to her in the bathroom. Although Sean would never use such obscene words, the message conveyed by them remains unchanged.

Tracy has known from the beginning of her relationship with Sean. She tried her hardest to be a decent wife throughout her three years of marriage. She never protested, whether it was in the face of his slanderous comments or the sneering mockery of the Pattinson family. She was also aware of Sean's dislike for her.

But when those facts slashed at her like a poisonous sword, Tracy felt anguish, and even while she was breathing, she felt the misery of her heart twitching.

Tracy buried her face in the blanket, half asleep and half awake, contemplating something.

Tracy raised money everywhere and even lowered her dignity three years ago, after discovering that Nestor Hidalgo owed a million debts, to ask the person in charge of the competition if she could not travel to Paris to study and give her cash. "Miss Michaelson, I'm sorry, our boss said," she recalls the person in charge saying. We reserve opportunities for individuals with goals, not for those who perceive this competition as a commercial opportunity and seek to benefit from it."

Tracy paused for a long time after hearing this punishment, then returned to sobbing and criticized the so-called employer for one night. "Who doesn't have a simple and unpretentious dream?"

Nestor Hidalgo fled away a few days later, and the creditor knocked to the door and urged her to make a decision. They either cut off her head or she took the initiative and followed them. Tracy had no option but to follow the others.

The guys sold her to Twilight, a location devoted to affluent people's enjoyment, drinking, and consumerism. They tainted her wine. When the middle-aged guy in his forties and fifties with a big face stepped in, Tracy instantly remembered Kyle, of her unfulfilled Paris bargain.

Tracy shoved the middle-aged guy aside and staggered out, not sure where the power came from.

Tracy had no idea how long she had been running when she saw a towering and hazy person in front of her. "Please, save me..." she cried as she collapsed to the ground, tugging on the sleeves of his textured suit.
